In terms of updating the Nugz this summer, I've been lazy as shit. Work + partying = getting nothing done. Since June i've been meaning to post about this production duo from the UK called Mount Kimbie. Labeled as "Post-Dubstep", Mount Kimbie creates music quite opposite then the heavy dub-step you would stereotypically think of. Featuring chopped up vocal samples, extensive percussion, and guitar (something you don't hear much of in contemporary electronic/bass), these guys have an ear for music. I'm a big fan of Mount Kimbie, and have listened to their latest album, Crooks & Lovers a shitload of times. "Mayor", one of the last tracks on their most recent release/Nug of the Week has become on of my favorites. Check it out, let me know what you think.
